After trying every possible angle and position there is to get my eyeball lined up with the oil window I finally arrived at this solution...I have a large block of thick wood that I originally bought to carve (I am an artist and make Native Alaskan carvings) it is the perfect height for setting my kick-stand on and leveling out my bike. If you try this method be sure to use a heavy, wide pad of wood so your bike can't slip off the block. I lay the block of wood on the floor and while I am seated on the bike I line it up and drop the kick-stand onto it, then I step off the right side of my bike and take a look at the oil level. Works GREAT...no more standing on my head and 'cussing' Suzuki for putting the window in such an silly place.
Good Luck and Happy Riding,
Susan
